When you’re a basement dweller And there is no light  It’s hard to see  The good in life  When you’re a basement dweller  It’s hard to see That there is some light Inside of me  When you’re a basement dweller You’re underneath the life With the coolness of summer And the cold at night  And when you’re a basement dweller  You learn to adapt I’m going through changes  And that’s that  And now I finally know where you’re coming from
2.
It's a little lonely here now that you're gone.  Just sitting around thinking about the lives we've drawn.  I meant to ask you why you believed in God. An honest man, or was it all a fraud? Just tell me your dreams, And all of your memories. Tell me what's been happening, And where you're coming from, Cause I wanna go there too. Just tell me your dreams, And all of your memories. Tell me what's been happening, And where you're coming from, Cause I’m coming there too.
3.
Feeling this hollow, feeling this hurry up. I've been focusing my time on learning how to slow down a bit. Feeling this worry, wondering all of it. What will come for me? What will comfort me? I wanna know how do I survive, In this life? It’s getting hard to swallow, getting hard to figure out all my faults,  everything I’ve done wrong, and the mistakes ill continue to make.  In my life, I’ve been feeling all the time, racing through my mind. Now numb and I’m struggling to find the way that I’m like.  Oooooooooh I have never felt something so dark in my whole life, And I was barely even looking around. Seems like every time I falter you notice. Seems like my drive is getting weaker by the second.  And everything and everyone that’s ever affected me in my whole life,  Well I hold them so dear to me. And I remember all the moments that we had they were so important to my life.
4.
Well I've been... Thinking about talking to the ones I love the most, And telling hard times are coming for both of us.  And sitting around and smoking won't do us any good. We gotta keep our heads high and get out like we should... Into the world, It’s right on your shoulders. You've been struggling now and then, But your friends are there to hold you.
5.
I waited at the borderline, Between the 2 and 89. With nervous thoughts, it felt alright. I met you at the borderline, I was sure I saw you from a mile.  My heart beating on and off in time. And I know that Time ain’t on my side right now, and I need someone. It’s dark outside and in my heart, I’ve been struggling.  Thinking of all those that I have loved and hurt all at once.  I should go back and try and mend some. I’ve still got love for you my darling,  I had to let that dove go fluttering.  We were fixing for some trouble mmmm. And maybe the timing just wasn’t right. Or is my mind playing tricks at night? But when I dream I still feel alright.  And I know that Time ain’t on my side right now, and I need someone. It’s dark outside and in my heart, I’ve been struggling.  Thinking of all those that I have loved and hurt all at once.  I should go back and try and mend some.

There’s something in the way that you move. There’s something in the air that reminds me of you. There’s something about the way that you move that gets me going. There’s something that I’m noticing now.  True loves never burned so brightly now. It’s something that we’re figuring out. There’s something happening here.  What it is ain’t exactly clear. Can you feel it in the air? Tonight... Oh I can feel it in the air. It’s not really all that clear. There’s definitely something happening here! Just hold on we’re going home.  It’s hard to do these things alone.  It’s so hard being alone.  Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes.  There’s nothing going on with me.  All I need is the air that I breathe and to love you  That air that I breathe and to love you I can feel it coming on.

Out Of Sight 03:20
Give me a listen now honey.  And I’m going to tell you, just how I’m feelin’. Give me a second now darling, and I’m gonna show you, what I’m feelin’. I’m feelin’ that  Girl You Are So cool You’re out of sight for sure!  If  You Roll With me Then I’m all yours For sure.  Give me a second now darling,  Cause I wanna show you what I’m feeling. Give me one little moment of your time,  I won’t take too long to tell you. That I’m feelin’ that  Girl You Are So cool You’re out of sight for sure!  If  You Roll With me Then I’m all yours For sure.

I was hoping and wishing, That you would come and listen, To me and all my problems, Baby oh I got em’. I’ve been searching for answers And asking all these questions, Staying up at night and by morning  I’m alright. Alright? You're the perfect kind of someone,  The someone I look up to,  And now every single summer, It's you I rediscover. I'd love to go for dinner, Then talk until it's winter, Warm you up at night, And by morning we’re both fine. Feeling fine, So fine. I was hoping and a wishing, That you would come and listen, To me and all my problems, Oh baby you know I got em’! And you’ve got em’. I've been searching for some answers, For drugs and war and cancer, Dig for deeper meanings,  While hanging from the ceiling. Oh, so serene. I hope you see, The fight in me. Oh, cause I’m still young and I’ve got dreams!
9.
Where did our love go? When did our eyes lose sight? We haven't been ourselves, and this isn't getting easier. Where did our love go? What have our minds got themselves into?  Are you sure that you feel this way too? Cause you haven't checked in, in a while. That's okay, I'm still keeping tabs. Well we all feel the pain, and you learn how to fight through it.  (And you learn how to fight it) Even though you just turned your back. And it pains me but I know that you needed space. And it kills me but I know that I’ll fight for that. Even if you don’t want me back. Well it kills me, but I know that you needed that.

Wading Well 03:16
Is it just the seasons that change? Or you? Cause I'm standing in the frost, And I'm turning blue. The ice beneath your feet melts as you sink down. Cause I'm looking at you now, and you're wading well It's wading well It's wading well It's wading well It's wading well Oooooooohhhh The space between your eyelids and the stars is ours. Well it was but now all we see is dark-ness. The sinking feeling in me helps me drown, way down, And I’m looking at you now, and you’re wading well. It's wading well It's wading well It's wading well It's wading well Oooooooohhhh

Wooden Sky 03:47
Ooooooh Over the mountain tops There lays a bed in where you  Steal all my dreams away, and You take me far away. I can’t see further than my Eyes will allow me to, but You make things clear to me, I’m making out what we’re to be. Ooooooh I’ve been waiting, In the cold for you. I’ve been calling out, But nothing seems to get through. I know you’re waiting, Somewhere out there. I’m sure I’ll find you, My life depends on it I swear. Stripped all my fears away, Defenseless I am yours to take, But please be gentle with my heart, I think I’ve found my missing part. Take some time now to reflect. Lay on my back and tilt my head. While gazing at our wooden sky, I’m living here till the day I die. Ooooooh I’ve been waiting, In the cold for you. I’ve been calling out, But nothing seems to get through. I know you’re waiting, Somewhere out there. I’m sure I’ll find you, My life depends on it I swear. Ooooooh
12.
I feel locked up.  But you won't help me, you can't help me. This weight has caught up, and I can't fight it. I won't fight it. You can't find me, I'm held down by my fragile shoulders You can't see me, I'm underneath the Sky you're up above. Above Up Above Well the lighting struck And you hid from me. I recall you saying meet me under the trees. So, I ran towards you but as the rain came down, I saw my life before me I fell to the ground. And then you picked me up, and brought me under the branch. Where the bark would save me from his deathly hands. And then your light shone down, and it lit me up, How could I be so foolish? I ran out of luck. But then your voice sang out into the echoless night, And it breathed 3 words I now hold to me tight. It was the very first moment I could trust someone. My faith was in your hands though they were cold and numb. Cold and numb I could feel your safety rushing over me. That in the worst of moments, you're still comforting.  Would you come meet me so far away? I found my lungs in a breathless state. You don't know the power in my heart! You told me that I'd better stay. But sure enough I went away. But you promised me the best would be in my heart. This wont help me, this can't help me. Listen to me, listen to me. I could feel your safety rushing over me. That in the worst of moments, you're still comforting.
13.
Oooh baby girl! I’ve got something to tell you about. If you know what I’m talking about? It’s a thing called love. Oooh sweet darling! You know I’ve been thinking about? What you’ve been thinking about. Thinking about love. Oh, when i get that feeling. I can’t stand to be apart. I’m so in love with your art. But i get scared sometimes, Cause I'm afraid of my heart.
14.
At first, I was afraid to drive the night roads, Just hoping the street lights could guide my way home. The surface was icy and the snow covered up, All that swerving around I could never quite stop. Undecided if I should move fourth or back, To that safety and comfort that I'd never had. Where my friends and my heart both side by side lie,  The Okanagan valley is where I'd reside.  I said mmmmm. Picking the fruits off the clementine tree,  I could stay there for hours and feel so free. But the fruit only lasted for a year and a while, But the taste never left me and nor did my smile. And the water it felt as it heated itself, And the sand on your feet as you started to melt. My feet are in snow now and I've always looked back, I remember that drive it was the longest I've had. I said mmmmmmm. I miss what there was, and 6 years seems so fast. I’ve accepted my future, while regarding my past. I keep this in my mind wherever I go, That my heart will keep beating, just faster at home.
15.
My thoughts are a shelf, Which many take seat. All cluttered a mess, And not a second at ease. These books are all blank, And the papers are old. Folded like airplanes, Battered and torn. A moment of focus, A breath of fresh air. To see what I've been looking for, To see if I care. The future is frightening, And the present is scared. Grasping to anything,  But the shelves are now bare.  I could sure use a hand, To guide me along. Find the right pathways, Prove I'm not wrong. I'm wrong, All I hear is I am wrong. This feeling is empty, Struck down on my side. Reflecting on everything, and everyone. I’ll wait for a change,  Otherwise, I will abide.

An Eager Age 03:28
Please forgive me if I’m too weak. I’ve tried my whole life living for what I was meant to be. And now my arms can barely lift you.  You've grown into a man but I am still calling out for truth. I am eager to find peace, But first I want to put you at ease. I am eager to find peace, and all I want, is to set you free. I want to set you... Now I'm older and I've seen, What a life lived without money and greed could be. When there's a little tinge at my back. Ill be honest with myself its hard to have tact sometimes. I am eager to find peace, But first I want to put you at ease. I am eager to find peace, and all I want, is to set you free. I want to set you...

The View 04:42
Traveling along across the roads of despair. I dream in my mind that I’ll be home soon again. But where is a home when you stay in one place for a year? Unstable at this time I follow the lines. That will lead me towards a new burning light. And like moths to a flame we will all be ignited for life. If I am the mountain, Then you are the trees You're smothering, yet comforting. And when the wind blows,  Right on through your leaves, Know I’ll handle it all with ease. Problems persist but we don't give up hope. We just sit there and wait for a sign or a note. That’s telling us we need to clean up our act or we’re done. It takes more than two in fact it takes a whole family. To find out what true love really means. And you never understand until someone you love has been lost. If I am the mountain, Then you are the sea. Watching from far, but close to me. And when the wind blows, Your waves in the breeze, Know I’ll handle it all with ease. But life never changes, We still stand our ground. With a pain in our heart, But a smile in a crowd. Well I'm hoping that I will be able to turn this around.  If I am the mountain, Then you are the trees You're smothering, yet comforting. And when the wind blows,  Right on through your leaves, Know I’ll handle it all with ease. If I am the mountain, Then you are the sea. Watching from far, but close to me. And when the wind blows, Your waves in the breeze, Know I’ll handle it all with ease.

North Shore 03:28
Oh, the window, Looking through binoculars. Search for boaters on the lake. See the island made of copper. We race down the stairs, Pull our slippers off. Put on one of grandpa’s caps, Throw away the maps. And Escape to the north shore. Escape to the north shore. Where we can live free. Where we can't be seen. Oh well it's far away, But the drive is short. Creating our own games, Sitting in the back of the car. Gaze up at the castle there, Down to the creek below. Find a trail nobody's walked, Build an inuksuk out of stones. I'm finding it hard to see, I'm finding it hard to believe, That you were not meant to be, Right here in this moment with me... By the window. Looking through binoculars. Look at that guy on two skis, Speeding by the island of copper. Escape to the north shore. Escape to the north shore. Where we can live free. Where we can't be seen.

I'm staying up tonight. Just wondering why I ache inside. You've been gone from my life. Or so it seems lot all meaning. In all your life, you've broke some hearts. And Mine, well it was in half. To mend it up, will take a while. And I know, you've always meant well. You've opened my eyes, To things I'd never dreamed of, Things I could never be. You've filled up my heart, With good intentions, And a sturdy rock foundation. I miss the six of us, But times have changed, And I'm slowly adapting. The happiness, outweighs all my sorrows. Ill never forget, all the times, you had my back. Without you, I'd be so lost, you guide me home. You, I look up to you, Look up to you, Up to you.
20.
I stared at the air for a while, then to the ground. All the grey-ish skies I've melted down. They seem so clear in your eyes I find. They seem so fresh in your mind, do you mind? If I stay here for some time? If I live with all my burdens, right by your side? If I keep so quiet you notice every time I am in the presence of your mind. If I could take away your pain, If I could feel like you, the same. Ill stay by you till you regain your strength. I am with you till you are sustained. If I could take away your pain, If I could feel like you the same, Ill stay by you till you regain your strength. I am with you till you are sustained. Oh oh oh oh

Farewell 03:32
Swinging on the Willow outside the church. Laughing in the canyon with the snakes. Sun Bathing on the dock on the lake. Running into neighbors in the town. Gazing at the fire in the sky. Jumping off the bridge into the water. The taste of fruit across the street near my house. Oh I miss the life I used to live. Oh, farewell. Oh, farewell. Farewell. I wish you well, Wish you well. When your body's in the city your hearts in town. You look on the bright side but the sun brings you down. I'll be gone for a while but I will return.  In the mean-time please take care and wish me a sincere. Farewell, Farewell, Farewell. I wish you well, Wish you well.
22.
I was up all night, Trying to find a light, Trying to find a way into your mind. I was not alright, My head was clouded up by fright. Worried about our distance and your sight. But they were just my cowardly thoughts. I felt we were drifting and I was lost. I was in so deep It didn't feel like i was asleep, But it felt like I was dreaming. Who you know and who you love, Might not clearly stand above, But you know that it's not always the ones you trust. In your home they may come, And When you feel the urge to run, Away from all of the fake teeth and the lies they’ve spun. They might be your family, But just by blood that's all they’ll be. They will never really see me in my light.  Close your eyes, Put my shoes on your feet. Make the time, To give love to everyone you meet. They might not be your family, Their blood does not determine how they see, It has to do with the carvings etched into their hearts. They may not be your family, Their blood does not determine how they see, It has to do with the carvings etched into their hearts. It has to do with the carvings on their hearts.

Calm Me Down 02:10
Lately I've been feeling a little lost. Strayed away and stranded in the dust. But your words, they calmed me down. Oh Calm, Calmed me down. Well my friends are sparse, but I'm mostly to blame. Ego gone, but I guess it's too late. Frustration and anger come out in me. Worrying about all of the small things. But you, sat with me, and calmed me down. You calmed, me down. But you, rubbed my back, it calmed me down. It calmed, calmed, me down.
24.
I've been waiting for the light to break over the brow. Wandering aimlessly and trying to find where I am now. Dressed up warm a winter coat will keep me from the cold. I'll keep searching high and low from young till I am old. Gently melting all the snow within my hands. As the water seeps through numbed and frigid I relapse. Wondering if I should go back to when we had it made. Frozen hearts in time will thaw and memories will fade. If you comfort me… I won't run. If you stand by me… then I'm the one. All your thoughts inside will make you wiser. And the light over the brow will seem much brighter.
25.
There’s a body in the water, and it’s cold out here. I know I went swimming but the water is unclear, And I just can’t see if it’s mine. I’m dying, but unsure of my time. I wrote a letter yesterday, it was stating all the things I had to give away. In it i stated that my heart was all gone, There was none left to give  It had gone all wrong.
26.
The tree is starring at the cloud, The cloud is gazing on back. The tree then asked if she would stay, But the wind goes and takes her away. Well His branches wept as the leaves fell off, And his bark dried up from the sun. The cloud was its source of shade and of rain, The comfort had now turned into pain. As the tree then waited through winter and spring, The cloud then finally came back. Waiting with open arms and a heart, The cloud did not know where to start. She said “I've met someone in a place far away, A tree so stunning and wild. I'm sorry to leave you but he is the one, Who I want to protect and to love”. A few years pass and the tree was falling down, Until a rare cloud in the sky floated by. She said “Hi I don't know you but you look so sad, I was wondering if you needed a friend”. He said “I feel so weak and this sun is too much, I’ve been feeling so down for some time…  But your shade and your comfort has given me strength and I feel like my life’s in your eyes". I feel like my life's in your eyes.
27.
Well I'm finding it sort of difficult, To keep my head up in the sky. I've been sleeping and thinking for days. When it's cold I grow old, And when I'm feeling alone, I'm just happy that you're by my side, I'm just happy that we're all alive. Cause you know this life is precious, And she'll come at any turn. To take you far from me. And I know that there's some reason, Well there really better be! I'm just happy that you're here with me, In the great old Canadian prairies.

Moving Water 03:16
Hold your breath as we cross this bridge. Mind my eyes as I gaze at you. Hold me tightly as we walk this rocky path. Follow the sunlight and never look back. Duck under the overhanging bridge. Lift your feet up or you'll fall into that ridge. This road is thousands of trees long, But each and every one belongs. Take me away, like moving water. Falling from the sky, we’ll instill each other. Walk me down, to the railroad tracks. With you beside me, there’s no turning back. Just take me away.  Every moment that were near, Is like every second of my life without living in fear. And every day that we are stuck in this forest, I know that our love is coming for us. Take me away, like moving water. Falling from the sky, we’ll instill each other. Walk me down, to the railroad tracks. With you beside me, there’s no turning back. Just take me away.
