about

“Overthinking Conversations speaks to the uncontrollable automatic process that clouds our minds on a daily occurrence. The song is a deep dive into the concept of getting stuck in your own head while overanalyzing social situations, and the difficulties of being yourself, even with your own friends. If you’ve ever been caught up in your own thoughts, just know your friends still accept and care about you (cause they’re probably overthinking everything too). The full eight minute version of the song has three movements beginning with a softer emotional ballad, to the heavier rock and lyrical section, finishing with a full orchestral reprise.” - Colton O'Reilly

lyrics

When you're out and alone,
You think about yourself and the world.
Free your mind and lose control.
Overthinking conversations, oh I know...
It's hard sometimes
Being yourself with your friends.
Just know I've got your back no matter what til the end.

When you're out and alone,
You learn about yourself and the world.
Ease your mind by taking time
For yourself because I know...
That it's hard sometimes
Being yourself with your friends.
Just know I've got your back no matter what til the end.

And I know sometimes it's hard to find the truth in this.
Just keep on trying to find the very reason to exist.
Now I feel like everything has got a hold of me and I can't let go.
I can't let go.
Hmm

It's hard being yourself sometimes with your friends.
Just know I've got your back no matter what til the end.
